RETRACTORS |
AS WELL AS LOCKING
IN AN ACCIDENT THE RETRACTOR CAN BE LOCKED DURING INSTALLATION.
IT IS EASY TO RELEASE
THE RETRACTOR BY FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED WITH EACH BELT. THE
NOTES BELOW ARE TO HELP ADVISE CUSTOMERS AND REDUCE RETURNS.

1.
Ensure that the retractor is perfectly upright (with the webbing coming
out at the top) and REMAINS IN THIS POSITION THROUGHOUT THIS OPERATION.
This can be done in the vehicle or another convenient position i.e.
against a wall.

(500/15, 500/30 etc) |

2.
(On angle adjustable retractors only)
Rotate cap 'A' and button 'B' in the direction indicated
until both are pointing as vertical (upright) as possible,

3.
With your thumb and fingers slowly, but firmly, wind an extra inch of
the webbing onto the reel.
4.
Slowly, but firmly, pull the webbing out of the reel. This must be
done smoothly to avoid locking the reel.
Repeat
if the retractor is not released at the first attempt. |
